The Protein Brewery (TPB) is a young, highly innovative company focused on creative technologies to develop and produce sustainable food ingredients using classical brewing and precision fermentation technology. We are addressing the eminent global shift from animal-based food ingredients towards a sustainable, plant-based food chain. Our team in Breda currently consists of 30 people and is growing fast. What does your profile look like?

We are a good match if you have...

  • A commercial and entrepreneurial drive. You love to build and improve while doing.

  • 5-10 years of experience in a commercial role within the (international) FMCG retail market, preferable B2B.

  • In depth knowledge of the food market, knowledge of protein market is a plus.

  • Strong relationship building, leadership and communication skills.

  • Are fluent (written and spoken) in English.

Who are we looking for?
We’re looking for an experienced Sales and Marketing Lead to strengthen our leadership team. In this role you will be responsible for the revenue and margin of our developed Fermotein® product market combinations to ensure sustainable growth of the company in our scaling phase. You will work closely with the Business Development lead and CEO in shaping the commercial strategy. You will build the Sales & Marketing organization and team from the ground up.  You will build the selling story and communication plan to the customers, articulating the future role for the new product and process technology in multi food applications. The ideal candidate is well-versed in all aspects of commercial management ranging from developing a sales & marketing year plan to relationship management. We’re looking for somebody with an entrepreneurial and adventurous mindset to join our team.


What are your responsibilities and scope in this role:

  • Drive and lead the sales & marketing efforts of targeted product market combinations according to the commercial strategy of TPB.

  • Shape the commercial strategy of TPB together with the CEO and Business Development Lead.

  • Develop tailored selling strategies according to different category and customer segments, to build an overall volume and net sales plan.

  • Roll out the Fermotein® brand.

  • Build, coach and lead the sales organization.

  • Ensuring implementation and transition of commercial aspects and CRM in ERP system.

  • Revenue and margin responsible for TPB’s target product market combinations.
    As a member of the leadership team provide active contributions and insights to the development of TPB.
