The Protein Brewery (TPB) is a young, highly innovative company focused on creative technologies to develop and produce sustainable food ingredients using classical brewing technology.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a skilled Business Analyst who is ready to join us on our adventure and make a contribution in the field of business and financial information, forecasting and reporting. The purpose of this role is to provide financial insights that help the decision-making process, and align capital and resource allocation within the business budget. Next to that you will work on developing initiatives and strategies that optimize costs and improve internal and external reporting. You will conduct market research and product (supply chain) analysis in order to come up with solutions to business problems and help to introduce these systems to businesses. You have a track record in successfully visualizing financial and business information to a management team or board. You will work closely with our Finance and Operations Lead, but also with colleagues in the brewing research and manufacturing group, various external partners, and the marketing & sales group within TPB.

What are you going to do?

  • Coordinate the annual budgeting cycle by collecting all relevant input, monitor and check data and provide an overview

  • Monthly budget forecasting; report and update monthly financial data and figures (actual versus budgeted).

  • Provide Supervisory Board reporting on milestone planning, monthly forecast, spend, FTE, IP and production.

  • Creating a detailed business analysis, outlining problems, opportunities and solutions. Analyzing both product line(s) and the overall profitability of the business.

  • Planning and monitoring monthly reporting on the annual budgets vs the actual spend per circle/business. Drawing up a complete picture of where we stand and adjust in time.

  • Performing financial and operational modelling on business models and supply chain processes.

  • Support in all processes around the new investment series; prepare business case, performing market analysis, gather input on the commercial plan

How does your profile look like?

We are a good match if you..

  • Have min 2 to max 5 years of work experience in a similar role with responsibilities in forecasting, budgeting and financial analysis.

  • Have a Bachelor or Master (HBO/WO) degree in Business Economics or a closely related field (Finance, Business Administration, Economics etc.)

  • Are fluent in both Dutch and English, written and spoken.

  • Have strong communication/interpersonal skills and are able to establish and strengthen internal collaboration between multiple disciplines (CFO, Operations, Manufacturing, Research).

  • Are analytical and conceptual.

  • Have an entrepreneurial spirit, with a pro-active and independent way of working.

  • Are passionate about innovation and sustainability.

  • Have affinity with business processes and data.

  • Have outstanding Excel and Powerpoint skills.
