The Protein Brewery (TPB) is a young, highly innovative company focused on creative technologies to develop and produce sustainable food ingredients using advanced brewing technology.


Our team in Breda currently consists of 25 people and is growing fast. The present organization is mission-driven and Holacracy powered, where the purpose of the organization, the teams and the individuals are aligned. We are addressing the eminent global shift from animal-based food ingredients towards a sustainable, plant-based food chain.


How does your profile look like?

We are a good match if you..

  • have 2+ years of experience in either an administrative or HR role;

  • have a MBO (post-secondary vocational education) or HBO (University of applied sciences – bachelor) degree;

  • are accurate and detail-oriented;

  • are structured and disciplined;

  • have strong communication skills and are empathic with the ability to interact with all layers of the organization;

  • are fluent (written and spoken) in Dutch and English;

Who are we looking for?
We’re expanding rapidly and therefore we are looking for a colleague who likes to contribute on a diverse set of HR processes to facilitate the fast growth of our scale-up. In this role you will focus on running smoothly our HR administration, the recruitment process and you’re involved in implementing new HR policies and projects. You are structured, reliable and have an eye for detail. You know how to work with confidential and personal information and you are a strong communicator. You will work with colleagues all over the organization but most closely with our HR lead and office manager. This could either be your introduction or first job within HR after your graduation, learning the HR profession or you’re just a seasoned HR administrator or advisor who likes to support, structure and organize HR processes in a small, warm team with a mission.

What are you going to do?

  • Employee contact:

    • Being the go to person for employees who have questions about HR related topics;

    • Ensuring a smooth onboarding process for new colleagues; ensure a warm welcome and introduction.

  • Support in various HR projects in your area of interest: training and development, organizational development, vitality and health, engagement and culture; lots to do!

  • Recruitment:

    • Keeping up with incoming applications and first screening and contact with applicant;

    • Drafting vacancy texts and distributing them on various channels;

    • Scheduling job interviews.

  • HR administration:

    • Drafting and maintaining HR policies and procedures such as the Employee Handbook;

    • Drafting employee contracts;

    • Keeping personnel administration (personnel information, pension, absenteeism and insurance portal) up to date;

    • Digitalizing our personnel administration.
