The Protein Brewery (TPB) is a young, highly innovative company focused on creative technologies to develop and produce sustainable food ingredients using classical brewing and precision fermentation technology. We are addressing the eminent global shift from animal-based food ingredients towards a sustainable, plant-based food chain. Our team in Breda, The Netherlands currently consists of 35 people. Who are we looking for?
We’re looking for an enthusiastic HR professional that will support the team in the pivotal moment of becoming operational and commercial. We believe that The Protein Brewery becomes successful when we support our people to be successful. As HR advisor you are responsible for enabling an environment in which people can perform and develop. Your goal is to make sure the infrastructure and processes are there for the team to bring our product to market. You will contribute on a broad range of HR topics such as running smoothly our HR administration, the recruitment process and designing and implementing new HR policies and projects. You are a solid and reliable advisor for the MT on all people related matters. You like to roll up your sleeves and get things done. We’re looking for somebody with an entrepreneurial and adventurous mindset to join our team.
What are your responsibilities and scope in this role?

You are responsible for our HR policies, processes and administration (e.g. the Employee Handbook, employment contracts, personnel and management information, pension, absenteeism, and insurance portal). You will be in charge of both the execution as well as the development and the professionalization of them.

Supporting and advising the CEO and Management Team in all people matters.

Employee contact: you are the go-to person for employees who have questions about HR related topics and support them where needed;

You are responsible for the recruitment plan, the hiring process as well as the onboarding of our new colleagues.

Fostering a performance culture with room for learning and development.

Lead in various HR projects such as training and development, team coaching, organizational development, engagement and culture.
What does your profile look like?

Have experience in a similar role and are ready for the next step.

Are fluent in Dutch and English: feeling comfortable to speak and write in English is important because this is our main language.

Are available fulltime – with a minimum of 32 hours but preferably 36 or 40.

You can be present at our office in Breda at least 3 days a week. We are super flexible about where and when you work, but sufficient face-to-face time is important for this role.

Are willing to participate in whatever it takes to make TPB successful, even if that is not a core task of your role on paper. You have a strong can-do mentality and are very hands-on.

You are structured, reliable and have an eye for detail. You know how to work with confidential and personal information and you are a strong communicator.
