The Protein Brewery (TPB) is a young, highly innovative company focused on creative technologies to develop and produce sustainable food ingredients using classical brewing and precision fermentation technology. We are addressing the eminent global shift from animal-based food ingredients towards a sustainable, plant-based food chain. Our team in Breda, The Netherlands currently consists of 35 people and is growing fast. Who are we looking for?
We’re looking for an experienced Head of People & Organization to replace our current HR lead. You will help expand our international team and support the team in the pivotal moment of becoming fully operational and commercial. We believe that The Protein Brewery becomes successful when we support our people to be successful. As Head of People and Organization you are responsible for bringing the right people on board and driving a culture in which people can learn, develop and perform. Your goal is to ensure an optimal match between the current and future needs of the organization/business and the potential and ambitions of the Brewers.
We’re looking for somebody with an entrepreneurial and adventurous mindset to join our team.
What are your responsibilities and scope in this role?

You are responsible (together with our HR officer (0.6 FTE)) for the execution of recruitment and HR processes.

Recruiting talents according to our hiring plan and that are best suited to fit into The Protein Brewery culture. You will be the main point of contact for hiring managers, candidates and agencies.

Fostering a performance culture with room for learning and development.

Maintain the performance review process across the organization.

Continue to develop and further professionalize our people and our organizational policies, processes and programmes.

Supporting and advising the Management Team in all people matters.

What does your profile look like?
We are a good match if you have...
-
8+ years of experience in HR, with at least 5 years as a people manager (knowledge of current HR legislation and policy is important).

Recruitment capability and experience is a must.

Fluent in Dutch and English.

You can be at our office in Breda at least 2 days a week (we are super flexible about where and when you work, but we find sufficient face-to-face time important for this role).

Available minimal 28 to 32 hours.

You are willing to participate in whatever it takes to make TPB successful, even if that is not a core task of your role on paper.

Experience in a scale up environment is an advantage, growing a company to >50-100 FTE.
