Wim de Laat
(Molecular Sciences, WUR) is the founder of BioscienZ with 30 years of industrial fermentation experience (15 publications, 25 patents) in fermentation R&D and scale-up. realized > 10 industrial processes at scale at Hercules, Gist brocades, Royal Nedalco, DSM.
Ap de Haan
(Biotechnology, AVANS Breda). Operations Management talent, developed all fungal technology platforms of BioscienZ in > 10 projects. Scale-up/ implementation experience in USA, China, EU.
(PhD, from WUR) with over 25 years of industrial food ingredient development and expertise in fungal expression technologies (WUR, University of Milano, DSM).
(Biology, University of Utrecht), business development lead. Managed startup C5 Yeast Company commercially with a successful exit. >10 years experience in securing license, partnership and other agreements and commercial contracts across four continents.

OUR JOURNEY SO FAR
Since 2012 BioscienZ has been paving the road for The Protein Brewery and FERMOTEIN. Read here below about the different milestones.
Founded in 2010, first years focused on contract research, consultancy and coordinating projects, start research in external lab
Since 2014 started developing own solutions, supported by winning various government support awards.
Built a reputation for world-leading fermentation technology expertise, incl. molecular biology, microbial production process and scaling up production.
Started with one lab, currently at two with the expansion of application development space in progress.
Launch of FERMOTEIN from 2021 onwards as an ingredient for meat substitutes, processed meats, bread, protein bars, bakery products and more.
